JA-Pens Grooming Salon is proud to announce that Chevy passed his first open draft dog trial on November 17, 2018, and his second open draft dog trial on November 18, 2018. These two passes helped Chevy to win his draft dog (DD) title.

These trials were sponsored by the Bermese Mountain Dog Club of Hampton Roads and were conducted at the new Quarter Part in Williamsburg, Virginia.

2018 Bernese Mountain Dog Club of Hampton Roads Open Draft Trial for Chevy

This is the Harness & Hitch. The dog has to wait for you to bring the cart into the ring, stand or sit while the harness is being put on, and walk willingly into the shafts of the cart to wait to be hitched up to the cart.

All Draft Trials incorporate a Narrows, which is a space that is only slightly wider than the cart that the dog must navigate without bumping or hitting any part of the obstacle.
